Job Description
OverviewThis position coordinates the sourcing/auditing of embroidery designs to our external, independent, contracted Digitizers; domestic and international. Sourcing responsibilities include; assigning designs to be digitized, balancing workload between the different sources, working with licensing department and art approval coordinator on edits to approvals. Auditing responsibilities include; proofing outsourced designs aesthetics & accuracy, communicate clearly and patiently with all Outsourcing Partners, Keep Outsource Digitizers current on any new processes within Production Art. Have a thorough knowledge / understanding of basic digitizing, along with garment and location restrictions, communicate with other Outsource Auditors and Outsource Lead on day to day basis.

ResponsibilitiesSourcing -Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceives designs to outsource; Consults with Art Resource Planner and pulls correct work to be sourced; If needed makes sure proper refer-to's are placed in FTP server; Checks licensing marks and indicates in the question log what the digitizer needs to do if directions are unclear; Communicates to sourcing partner variances in workload and work schedule. Assigns art orders to certain outsourcing partner(s).Follows up with Outsource Digitizers on orders approaching art complete dates and ship dates and selects the correct orders to source to the Digitizers.Reports to Office Coordinator on a weekly basis the previous weeks output from the outsource Digitizers for GEAR, Champion and Under Armour.Manages orders and workflow on desk. Maintains record keeping.Answers art information, garment colors, garment style and quantity questions.Ensures that sourced designs are sent correctly and on time and gets the designs to the next process step on time. Maintains reliability through weekend work and overtime, when needed.Communicates daily with Outsourcing Partners by phone or email. Occasionally, they have conference calls or Skype with outsourcing partners.Auditing -Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Audits all outsource digitized art as it returns from all of our various external, independent, contracted digitizers; domestic and international. Must indicate edits in clear, concise sentences and then ensure their edits are correct upon return.Must have some knowledge of digitizing in order to better audit and from time to time, edit the designs. Kerning, typography and spelling is very important.Ensures quality by communicating clearly and concisely with the Outsource digitizers the Rework and Revisions via e-mail and scanned sew out images or run sheets, back to digitizer with directions on what to fix or use dedicated Outsourcing Edit Artist to help with edits.Must be able to edit and complete certain outsource orders that get close to complete date or designs that evolve to a level that is not consistent with Outsource digitizers typical orders to ensure ship dates are maintained.Reports to Lead Digitizer on a weekly basis the previous weeks’ Outsource Digitizers accuracy, questions and concerns.Communicate with ATR through dashboard, e-mail, or in person regarding changes that need to be made to orders regarding process methods, thread colors, garments, etc.While auditing, must be aware of garment restrictions, garment location restrictions, new processes, garment tonal guides, etc. Knowledge of Licensing rules and preferences for schools.Check that the entire order & art to make sure they are correct, especially mascots, logos and seals when going across multiple garment colors and thread sequences.The ability to recognize whether a mistake on an order or art lies with our Outsource Partners or with internal staff.Takes part in bi-weekly or monthly conference phone calls with Outsourcing Partners to stay in touch, give critiques, discuss issues, etc. for continual improvement.Maintains reliability through weekend work and overtime, when needed.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year of related work experience is preferred, but not necessary
Basic Macintosh skills and the ability to develop proficiency with Oracle.
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
