Engineering Manager - Video Services

The Engineering Manager, Video Services, has responsibility for the technical operations of the Video Services department. The Engineering Manager works with the Director of Video Services, the Dean of Academic Support, the Production Manager of Video Services, students, faculty, staff and community members, to maintain and enhance engineering in alignment with the college’s mission and strategic goals. The Engineering Manager also ensures production and technical support, facilitates future planning and training, ensures support of the healthcare simulation programs, and maintains and supports video delivery systems.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
MANAGEMENT - Leads the engineering team in support of college initiatives requiring video production and video engineering support.
PLANNING, RESEARCH and DESIGN - Ensures that the engineering team collaborates and plans for future systems, effectively implements current systems, works effectively on multi-department initiatives and has access to training and professional development.
HEALTHCARE SIMULATION - Ensures that the healthcare simulation programs receive the support that they require for prep, simulations and debriefings, that video recordings are organized and accessible to faculty, and that industry trends are monitored to ensure that programs are able to use the most appropriate equipment.
VIDEO DELIVERY SYSTEMS - Ensures that the engineering team supports the college cable channel delivery system, that cable content meets technical requirements, and that live streams, live screen feeds and the on-campus cable channels are supported.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
4 years' full-time video production/engineering experience or equivalent
Experience at an educational institution
