Description SUMMARY Represents the first point of contact within the IT department for prompt resolution of technical issues. Executes network and system administration tasks in support of the Network Manager. Identifies and recommends proactive solutions to minimize common technical problems. Maintains the network infrastructure following procedures established by the Network Manager and Company SOPs (standard operating procedures). The Systems Engineer is a hybrid position that will primarily be responsible for tier 1 support of our end user community while helping to support and maintain systems in our high-availability network. Responsibilities include design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure, desktop and server operating systems, file network, database, web servers, virtualization, and network security equipment. He/she will employ standard tools to monitor network health, software license compliance, and database performance. Employee shall use excellent verbal and written communication skills when training XenoTech users in technical matters.
Skills Highly motivated, experienced, resourceful and efficient with a “Can Do” attitude. Must be able to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and have the ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical personnel. Willing to work after hours and weekends (as needed) in order to deploy product releases in predefined, maintenance windows. Customer centric attitude with experience executing deployments and troubleshooting in a 24/7 production environment.
