Description
Job Description: Positions available in and around Leavenworth, KS. • Provide 1:1 behavior therapy to children diagnosed with developmental disorders in various settings including the client’s home, schools, and other community-based settings. Behavior Therapists implement behavior intervention plans and teaching methodologies and instructional techniques consistent with evidenced based applied behavior analysis research (e.g., shaping, verbal behavior training, discrete trial training, model-lead-test, precision teaching, pivotal response training, etc.) within both play-based and more structured teaching arrangements. • We are looking for responsible and caring individuals who are dedicated to improving the lives of children diagnosed with autism. We strive to provide comprehensive and stable programs for our clients and therefore we request a minimum of a one year commitment for this position. • The majority of our clients receive programming in the afternoons therefore staff applying for the position are required to be available between the hours of 3:00-7:00 Monday-Friday or MWF and TR consistently. An average of 12-15 hours per week are available between the designated hours.
Qualifications: BA/BS in Psychology, Education, or a related field. or 12 semester hours of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields and be currently enrolled in a course of study leading to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree by an accredited college or university; or 48 semester hours of college coursework in an accredited college or university. A copy of the transcript required.

Skills
• Successful completion of training and minimum skills competency prior to working independently • Relates well to parents/teachers and students, proven problem -solving skills, team player • Excellent time management skills, communication skills and professional ability to receive positive and constructive feedback • Prior experience delivering direct treatment to children using Applied Behavior Analysis preferred • Valid driver license and insurance and no serious criminal history
