Description
Kansas City based steel construction company looking for an On-Site Safety Representative. This position will be considered a Temporary full-time position for a project located within 60 miles of the Kansas City Metro area. Applicant must be willing to travel, work 40+ hours per week, with weekend work being a possibility. Applicant must have training and certification in OSHA 30-hour for construction, training and certification in first-aid and CPR, at least 5 years safety related experience in steel construction, and have adequate computer skills, applicant will be asked to submit to drug testing and be required to follow all job-site and company policies.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Ensure all employees have attended the required safety orientation.
•Conduct and assist field supervisor with weekly safety meetings and training sessions.
•Conduct weekly meeting with supervisors to inform them of safety rules.
•Instruct supervisors and employees concerning safety rules/regulations, use and care of protective equipment, and any special procedures (i.e. lock-out/tag-out).
•Train employees in safety procedures.
•Document daily site inspections and complete incident investigation reports.
•Maintain training logs and documentation.
•Implements company safety policies and procedures.
