MOVE seeks an experienced operations professional who will work closely with the MOVE director and staff to improve and maintain the administrative systems and structure of the organization. They will also play an important role in member organizations’ compliance with Missouri Ethics Commission expectations and state fundraising law. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and have values that align with those of MOVE and its partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Office Management
o Manage vendor relationships
o Manage office supplies inventory and purchasing
o Process mail
o Manage office space and files
• Administrative Support
o Support MOVE director as needed with meeting coordination, communications, etc.
o Streamline internal staff communications
o Maintain personnel files
o Support Board of Directors administration needs
o Coordinate team travel
• Financial Management
o Oversee records of income and expenditures
o Work with contracted accountant to track grant allocations
o Manage annual audit process
o Review and approve staff expense reimbursements
o Manage donor acknowledgements, and assist with other routine fundraising tasks
o Manage annual budget process
• Reporting and Compliance
o Assist in the development of program reports
o Manage organizational tracking of staff time and resources allocated to lobbying
o Manage submission of reports to Missouri Ethics Commission
o Report on staff time allocated to various campaigns
o Write in kind contribution letters to supported campaigns
• Other Responsibilities
o Event coordination and management
o Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an operations, administrative and/or management role required
Experience in grassroots organizing or movement building institution preferred
Some evening and weekend availability may be required
MOVE has office locations in Kansas City, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri.
