Job Description
We are currently seeing a Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN to join our team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure a culture of Gentleness and respect for the individuals at DPI.
• Performing skilled nursing functions in accordance with the established policies, practices and standards of care.
• Assist individuals with hygiene and personal care needs such as toileting, changing depends, showering, feeding, passing medication as outlined in the DPI medication policy.
• Develop and implement daily programs for each individual assigned in a team or 1:1 setting in regards to program goals, independent living skills, self-help skills, life skills, self-advocacy in learning preferences/choices/communication skills, and community integration skills as well as other goals as indicated in the individual’s annual plan.
• Complete all documentation requirements timely and accurately by either utilizing computer system, Therap and/or hand written methods as indicated by supervisor as required by state regulation.
• Communicate with Program Director/Site Coordinator/RN any medical concerns for individuals and provide appropriate documentation and follow-up.
• Follow the daily schedule as prepared by supervisor.
• Maintain current nursing license with the State of Missouri.
• Maintain a positive professional attitude with staff, individuals served, support agencies and the public.
• Follow all policies and procedures for the organization and sign off on policies annually.
Job Requirements
Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN position available

• Must be skilled in directing staff and able to work as a member of a team
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals we serve, family members and all levels of the organization and maintain confidentiality
• Should be a graduate of an accredited RN/LPN School of Nursing
• Valid Missouri state license with 2 yrs. experience preferred.
• Minimum Nursing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• $500.00 SIGN ON Bonus - after 6 months of employment
